The new streaming effort continues for IETF 64. All eight parallel tracks will be covered. It is our hope that this effort will continue to provide useful timely and accessible access to the proceedings of the IETF as they happen. An internet draft (revised since IETF 62) decribing what the effort is intended to do, and the efforts up to this point is available at http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-jaeggli-ietftv-ng-01.txt.
Streams are delivered as 64Kb/s unicast-http-streamed mp3 audio, a popular and relativly standard way to deliver internet radio. Most platforms should have a client immediatly available (windows media player, quicktime, real, winamp, vlc, mplayer, zinf, etc) capable of playing back the stream.
To test your client against a currently active stream of the same type, launch this, which should provide you with access to the Universtiy of Oregon's classical radio station, KWAX.
Streaming Begins at 0800 PST (UTC/GMT -8) Monday November 7th.

Notes
11/07/2005
channel-1 had two power issues early in the morning recording. Everything was normal by 09:20.
For the morning session channel 3 and 4 appear to be reversed. 3 is empty.
I screwed up the the local playlist urls, it is also fixed.
channel-7 problem is pkix is not using mics.
channel-2 is a little noisy, I'm keeping it low.
At approximately 0945 streaming server at the U of O dropped all incoming streams, was restarted, and appears to be working.
11/08/2005
Recordings from monday are going into the archive.
Some highly abridged stats, 1461 stream accesses on the remote server, 242 on the local one.
No major streaming issues to report this morning
11/09/2005
salon 2 and 3 are divided, salon 2 is channel-8 salon 3 is still channel-6.
Channel-8 appears to have a horrible hum on the mixer output. at this late date there's probably nothing to be done.
Reports of low volume on ch-2, it's been adjusted up slightly. The high pitched noise is from the board...
Plenary has been moved from channel-3 to channel-4 for wed and thur evening.

hiprg meeting on schedule for friday is an IRTF meeting and is not being broadcast or recorded.
It's going to be monday the 15th before all of the mp3 files are synchronized and available to download in all probability.
